About this Frame
The A4Plus Size is unique to Pictureframes.uk – designed specifically to accomodate an A4 print, photograph, certificate, document or artwork with a Mount.
The Frame is made from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified Finger Jointed Pine (more stable than solid timber). The moulding is finished in lengths in a factory in Spain. We Cut and Join the frames using Glue and Underpins.
The frame is 22mm wide and in a Brushed Pewter Finish. Ideal for photos, paintings, prints and certificates.
The Mount Aperture is 200mm x 287mm, allowing the Mount to overlap the paper by 5mm on all sides. The mount margins are 45mm all round of which approx. 40mm is visible, with the remainder going under the rebate.
The Mount is Lightly Textured Off-White (colour 8065). It is made from 1.45mm thick FSC certified board which Conforms to the Fine Art Trade Guild’s “Conservation” Standard.
The Under-Mount Plain Off-White and is also made from 1.45mm thick FSC certified board which Conforms to the Fine Art Trade Guild’s “Conservation” Standard.
The Frame is Glazed with 2mm Float Glass. The backboard is 3mm FSC certified MDF held in with Flexi-tabs. D-Rings, Screws and Picture Cord are supplied.

Print & Fit:
If you choose this option, we will ask you to supply a digital image file of sufficient quality (minimum 2335px x 1650px) to print at A4 – once you have an order number, you will be able to send it by email, dropbox, wetransfer etc..
We will then print this image out on Canon Semi Gloss 240gsm. FSC® Certified Photo-Paper, using our state of the art Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8400 printer with it’s LUCIA EX 12 Colour Pigment Ink system. Once printed, we bond the printed image to the undermount to prevent any possibility of wrinkling.
After fitting your image into the frame, we seal the back of the frame with brown gum tape and fit the hangings and cord. The finished picture will arrive with you (or whoever you send it to) professionally finished and ready to hang on the wall.
